All North Dakotans surely know the adage, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

Well, some North Dakota state lawmakers are test-driving a new concept: “If it is broke, pretend it’s not.” And the inattention could soon result in local businesses and working families spending even more on health care...


House Bill 1473 which would broaden how the broken, corruption-riddled 340B federal program is applied in North Dakota. The proposed legislation protects the financial interests of for-profit health systems, major chain pharmacies and pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) by expanding a program that costs U.S. employers and workers over $6 billion in increased health costs annually .
